            Baseball Recap: Richland Royals vs. Del Rio Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Richland won against Harlan  on Friday with nine  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Saturday. The Richland Royals came out on top against the Del Rio Rams by a score of  9-5. The  matchup marked the Royals' most dominant  win of the  season so far.
Richland got a great performance from  Henry Pierce as he  tossed five innings while giving up  three earned runs off only  two  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Max Wiley was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in February of 2024.  Carter Alderson was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Richland  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most three  strikeouts in three consecutive  games.
Richland's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Del Rio,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-5.
 Looking ahead, Richland will take on Keller Central in a tournament  on Thursday. As for Del Rio, they will host Cornerstone Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
