Basketball Game Preview: Northern Guilford Nighthawks vs. Page Pirates

The Northern Guilford Nighthawks will take on the Page Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Northern Guilford is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since January 23, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Western Guilford 60-57.

Meanwhile, Page had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 69-57 win over the Vikings.

Northern Guilford has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Page, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Northern Guilford was able to grind out a solid win over Page when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 70-57. Will Northern Guilford repeat their success, or does Page have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
