Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Lowell's Third in Last Four Outings

Lowell won the last time they faced Boone Grove, and Ashlee Evans did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lowell Red Devils took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-16 win over the Boone Grove Wolves thanks in part to Evans, who went 10 for 15 on her way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Gatlin Hanrath, who posted six points and six rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Lowell has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Boone Grove, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Lowell has already played their next contest, a 53-28 victory against La Porte on the 25th. As for Boone Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 76-17 defeat against Kouts on the 30th.
