Volleyball Recap: Timber Creek Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Timber Creek had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Creekside Knights with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Timber Creek not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Creekside between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.

Leading Timber Creek to victory were Chase Jordan and Diego Galan Reyes. Jordan had 26 assists and five digs, while Galan Reyes had 15 digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Galan Reyes a new career-high.

Timber Creek's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-2. As for Creekside, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-5.

Coming up, Timber Creek will welcome Winter Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. Creekside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
