Johansen won the last time they faced Lathrop, and Jeremiah Silva did his part to make sure it happened again. The Johansen Vikings were the clear victor by a 72-51 margin over the Lathrop Spartans on Wednesday thanks in part to Silva, who posted 16 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Lathrop's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DJ Reyno, who scored seven points and four steals. Reyno has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caiden Wisnieski, who had seven points and eight rebounds.

The win was the fourth in a row for Johansen, bringing their record for this year to 18-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Lathrop, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Johansen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-56 loss against Central Valley on the 7th. As for Lathrop, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-59 victory against Livingston on the 7th.
