Bishop Manogue skates past Wooster with ease

The Bishop Manogue Miners's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-30 win over Wooster at home. That 58-30 margin sets a new team best for Bishop Manogue this season.

Bishop Manogue's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Williams, who scored 11 points along with five assists. The contest was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chase Debruin, who scored nine points.

Defeat or not, Wooster got some senior leadership from Jared Marquicias who scored 16 points and Jamal Gaitor who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.

Wooster struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Bishop Manogue's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Wooster, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Manogue will be home for the holidays to greet McQueen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McQueen is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.6 points per game. Wooster will be home for the holidays to greet Portola at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 65.4 so far this season, Portola's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Wooster better be ready for a challenge.
