Basketball Recap: Holly Takes a Loss

Holly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 67-58 to the Glenn Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Bronchos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 577th, while the Bobcats are ranked 62nd).

Jimmy McCrum was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 15 on his way to 19 points for Glenn. Danzell Calhoun was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 12 points and five assists.

Holly's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Glenn, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Holly will head out on the road to square off against Linden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Linden will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Holly surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glenn, they will host Swan Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glenn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season.
