Baseball Recap: Cypress Lake Takes a Loss

Cypress Lake lost against Charlotte back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cypress Lake Panthers lost 9-1 to the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons.

Cypress Lake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Skaggs, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Luigi Smith also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Cypress Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Charlotte, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Charlotte, they will square off against North Port at 7:00 p.m. on March 4th.
