Basketball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Miller City's Winning Streak

If Miller City was riding high fresh off their 56-34 takedown of Elmwood last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Miller City Wildcats fell 50-40 to the Wayne Trace Raiders on Saturday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Miller City moved to 12-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Wayne Trace, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Miller City and Wayne Trace should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Miller City will square off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday up 217 places (192 vs. 409). Similarly, Wayne Trace (ranked 128th) will meet Continental (ranked 736th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
