Volleyball Recap: First Academy Takes a Loss

First Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morningside Academy Eagles (Eddy).

First Academy might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Morningside Academy: every set was decided by exactly three points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22.

Reese Steinmetz paced First Academy's offense, picking up two kills. Steinmetz got some help from Peyton DeArmond and her five assists.

First Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Morningside Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

First Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Old Plank Christian Academy on the 23rd. As for Morningside Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against St. Joseph Academy on the 23rd.
