Volleyball Recap: Metea Valley Comes Up Short

Metea Valley was the 2-0 winner over Neuqua Valley when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Metea Valley sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-20.

Shriyans Battula paced Metea Valley's offense, picking up ten kills. Battula got some help from Om Patel and his 27 assists.

Metea Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Neuqua Valley, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-9.

Metea Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Wheaton-Warrenville South on the 14th. As for Neuqua Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Benet Academy on the 14th.
