Baseball Recap: Pine View Gets the Win

Pine View owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Wasatch Wasps. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 win the Wasps walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.

Not much got past Tristen Sylvester, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Wasatch off the board.

At the plate, Raiden Hunt was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The victory got Pine View back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Pine View and Wasatch will both be playing South Sevier the next time they take the field. The Wasps will host the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
