Tri-County RVT saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Roche, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Roche has become a key player for the Cougars: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6-1 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Diman RVT came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 6-3.
Carter Perreira spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matt Almeida, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Samuel Perry was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Diman RVT pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-County RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal.
