Iraan and Wink are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Iraan Braves will square off against the Wink Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Iraan sitting on six straight victories and Wink on five.

Iraan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Eldorado 70-30 at home. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won five games by 20 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Iraan's win came down to the chemistry between Prather Schneemann and his top target Chris Quintero. Schneemann threw for 385 yards and six touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes while Quintero picked up 265 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Quintero torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 91 yards. A healthy portion of that aerial production (95 yards to be exact) also went to Cooper Bowman.

Iraan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brennon Alejandro Rivero and Cristian Buitron.

Meanwhile, Wink humbled McCamey with a 72-13 victory. That looming 72-13 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

Wink can attribute much of their success to Kemyd Faciane, who rushed for 237 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per carry, and Layne Lusby, who threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Faciane's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 113 rushing yards dating back to last season. Abram Bell was another key player, picking up 103 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Wink was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 401 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 183 rushing yards in 18 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Iraan pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wink, their record now sits at 5-1.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Iraan has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 286.7 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Wink, though, as they've been averaging only 142.5. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?

Iraan was dealt a bruising 34-7 defeat at the hands of Wink in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Can Iraan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
