Basketball Recap: Ben Lomond Comes Up Short

Ben Lomond was the 35-31 winner over Ogden when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ben Lomond Scots took a blow against the Ogden Tigers on Tuesday, falling 54-27. The Scots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.

Ben Lomond's loss came despite strong showings from Payton Huff and Aleia Huff. Payton posted 15 points, while Aleia dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Aleia is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played.

Ben Lomond dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Ogden, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ben Lomond will welcome Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grantsville will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Ben Lomond surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ogden, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ogden Tigers duke it out with the Union Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
