Basketball Recap: East Central Extends Winning Streak to Eight

East Central had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Braham Bombers 81-46. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.

Several Bombers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Soren Lilly, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Lilly is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Tyler Eklund was another key player, putting up 23 points and three blocks.

East Central pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Braham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-5.

East Central has already played their next contest (against Deer River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Braham also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Swanville.
