Baseball Recap: South Knox Takes a Loss

After flying high against Shoals on Friday, South Knox came back down to earth. The Spartans fell just short of the Vincennes Rivet Patriots by a score of 3-1 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered since March 31st.

South Knox has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Vincennes Rivet, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

South Knox has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against North Daviess on the 13th. As for Vincennes Rivet, they will take on Northeast Dubois at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jeeps will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
