Basketball Recap: Adams Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Adams Central had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 63-46 victory over the Tipton Blue Devils on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Flying Jets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 76th).

Grady Carpenter and Sam Quigley certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Carpenter almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds, while Quigley went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points and five assists. The matchup was Carpenter's third in a row with at least ten points.

Adams Central now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Tipton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.

Adams Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tipton, they will take on Maconaquah at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
