Softball Recap: Colton Comes Up Short

Colton came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-7 to the Perrydale Pirates.

Amelia Joost made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Dakota Nicol, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Colton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Perrydale, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

While Colton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
