Baseball Recap: Albert Lea Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Albert Lea's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Ulm Eagles on Wednesday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Albert Lea has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for New Ulm, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-8 record.

Coming up, Albert Lea will face off against Worthington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Ulm, they will challenge Marshall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
