Baseball Recap: Hickory Red Tornadoes vs. Statesville Greyhounds        
        
		
            
 Hickory never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Statesville Greyhounds 11-0. Winning may never get old, but Hickory sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
 Hickory got a great performance from  Maddox McRee as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. McRee has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Will Prince was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Isaiah McDowell, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Hickory's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Statesville, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
 As of now, neither Hickory nor Statesville have any future games scheduled.
