Volleyball Recap: Cardinal Gibbons Wins Going Away Against Holly Springs + How To Watch

Cardinal Gibbons won the last time they faced Holly Springs and things went their way on Thursday too. The Crusaders blew past the Golden Hawks 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

One reason for the win was Cardinal Gibbons' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-21, 25-20.

Mary Grace Gonyeau paced Cardinal Gibbons' offense, picking up 11 kills. Gonyeau got some help from Genevieve Harris and her 29 assists. Harris was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the defeat, Holly Springs saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Brueckmann had 12 digs and two aces.

Cardinal Gibbons' victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Holly Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
