Basketball Recap: Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Victorious

Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They managed a 55-51 win over the Maple River Eagles. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Maple River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial will welcome Blue Earth at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Maple River and Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
