Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. El Monte

The Mountain View Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the El Monte Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mountain View will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Monday, then bounced right back against Gabrielino on Tuesday. Everything went Mountain View's way against Gabrielino as Mountain View made off with a 6-1 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when El Monte challenged Rosemead on Tuesday. El Monte beat Rosemead by a goal, winning 2-1.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 12-5-4. As for El Monte, they now have a winning record of 6-5-2.
