Recap: John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles vs. Champion Golden Flashes

Even though the John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles have not done well against the Champion Golden Flashes recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. John F. Kennedy Catholic came out on top against Champion by a score of 65-52. That's two games straight that John F. Kennedy Catholic has won by exactly 13 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John F. Kennedy Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marina Sanders, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds. Ava Darney was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.

Several Golden Flashes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isabella Meyer, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds. Meyer scored a full 28.8% of Champion's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Addie Warzala, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.

The win makes it two in a row for John F. Kennedy Catholic and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Champion, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John F. Kennedy Catholic will challenge Newton Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Champion, they will head out on the road to face off against Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th.
