Meanwhile, Aubrey came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers.
Aubrey never let Panther Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-6, 25-23.
Van Alstyne's defeat dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Aubrey, their win bumped their record up to 19-11.
