Jefferson Forest and Tuscarora squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Jefferson Forest had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-1. The Cavaliers' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Amelia Long spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 19 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jefferson Forest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taya Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Jefferson Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 21-2. As for Tuscarora, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.
