Basketball Recap: Thatcher Lamp's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tri County Northeast over Pender

Tri County Northeast played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 64-38 to the Pender Pendragons. The Wolfpack have struggled against the Pendragons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Wolfpack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thatcher Lamp, who posted 11 points. What's more, Lamp also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Knox Lamp, who put up four points.

Pender's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Krueger led the charge by going 8 for 11 en route to 16 points along with six boards and four steals. Trevor Trimble was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Tri County Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Pender, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Tri County Northeast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-36 loss against Bloomfield on the 1st. As for Pender, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tekamah-Herman at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th. Pender is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.
