Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Springs Ledgers vs. Omro Foxes

The St. Mary's Springs Ledgers will face off against the Omro Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Mary's Springs comes in on four and Omro on 11.

Last Friday, St. Mary's Springs escaped with a win against Lomira by the margin of a single free throw, 56-55.

Meanwhile, Omro won against Winnebago Lutheran Academy on Friday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Omro greeted the New Year with with a 48-33 victory over Winnebago Lutheran Academy. That's two games straight that the Foxes have won by exactly 15 points.

St. Mary's Springs pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Omro, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

St. Mary's Springs couldn't quite finish off Omro in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 61-58. Can St. Mary's Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
