Baseball Game Preview: Rochester Rams vs. Freedom Area Bulldogs

The Rochester Rams will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Freedom Area Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Rochester is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell just short of New Brighton by a score of 5-3 on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Max Lyons was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Lyons was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Lyons wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jensen Seybert, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, while Freedom Area put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Winchester Thurston. Freedom Area walked away with a 3-0 win over Winchester Thurston.
