Soccer Game Preview: Linden vs. Sayreville

The Linden Tigers will challenge the Sayreville Bombers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Linden's offense. They lost 6-0 to St. Joseph last Saturday. While losing is never fun, Linden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while St. Joseph are ranked fourth).

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Sayreville and North Brunswick have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Bombers fell just short of the North Brunswick Raiders by a score of 1-0.

Linden has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Sayreville, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.
