Basketball Recap: Southfield Christian Comes Up Short

Southfield Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Inter-City Baptist Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Chargers are ranked 82nd).

Southfield Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Inter-City Baptist, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Southfield Christian will take on Pontiac at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Inter-City Baptist, they will face off against Zion Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
