Softball Recap: Danville Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lynn Camp

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Danville Christian Academy). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lynn Camp Wildcats on Tuesday, sneaking past 17-16. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Mya Overstreet was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Isabella Leathers was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Danville Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .541. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Danville Christian Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for Lynn Camp, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
