Baseball Recap: Glenbrook South's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Glenbrook South never let their opponents score on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Grayslake Central Rams. The win was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Blake Hoffer tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Trey Ryno, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Michael Eschenbach, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Glenbrook South's victory bumped their record up to 15-19. As for Grayslake Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-8.

Looking ahead, Glenbrook South will square off against Palatine at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. Grayslake Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
