Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer lost against Vacaville Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Pioneer came up short against Vacaville Christian, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-20.

Rogelio Aguilera Zamora paced Pioneer's offense, picking up six kills. Aguilera Zamora got some help from Paul Williams and his five assists. Aguilera Zamora was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Pioneer has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. The win (which was Vacaville Christian's eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Pioneer has already played their next match (against Rodriguez), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Vacaville Christian, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Windsor on the 29th.
