Wylie is 10-0 against Garland since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wylie Pirates will host the Garland Owls at 5:30 p.m. Wylie will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Wylie beat Rowlett 38-31. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Eagles are ranked 702nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Garland faced off against Rowlett on Friday. Garland took a 41-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rowlett.

Wylie has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Garland, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Wylie was able to grind out a solid victory over Garland in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 46-39. Will Wylie repeat their success, or does Garland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
