Basketball Recap: Pawnee Heights Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Pawnee Heights duked it out with Wallace County on Tuesday. The Pawnee Heights Tigers were outmatched by the Wallace County Wildcats and fell 64-31. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Pawnee Heights lost, don't look at Clayton Hammeke. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points. That was a full 54.8% of Pawnee Heights' points, marking the seventh time in a row Hammeke has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Roberto Cordero, who earned two points and four steals.

Pawnee Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Wallace County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8-1.
