Everest Collegiate had already won 17 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.2 points) and they went ahead and made it 18 on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-47 victory over the Lansing Christian Pilgrims. Given Everest Collegiate's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Lansing Christian is ranked 471st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Lansing Christian lost, don't look at Ethan Damesworth. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-10 to rack up 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Damesworth continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of David Hall, who shot 50% from the field en route to 13 points.

Everest Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Lansing Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.
