Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

If Central was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Forest Hills last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons fell just short of the McDowell Trojans by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

Christion Heuston paced Central's offense, picking up 13 kills. Heuston got some help from Logan Hummel and his 23 assists. Finally, Heuston was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Central now has a losing record of 2-3. As for McDowell, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against DuBois on the 5th. As for McDowell, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Meadville at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th.
