Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Tennyson was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Alameda, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.

Bishop O'Dowd is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-3 record this season. As for Tennyson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5-3.

Everything went Bishop O'Dowd's way against Tennyson when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Bishop O'Dowd made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop O'Dowd since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
