Preview: Blessed Trinity Titans vs. Alpharetta Raiders

After two games on the road, Blessed Trinity is heading back home. They will take on The Alpharetta Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Two weeks ago, Blessed Trinity never let their opponents score. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 38-0 win over Johns Creek. Given Blessed Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Johns Creek is ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Blessed Trinity found their leader in underclassman Ahmontae Pitts, who rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Alpharetta had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past Johns Creek 42-0 at home.

Among those leading the charge was Sean Wilson, who picked up 142 receiving yards and a touchdown. Wilson's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards.

Blessed Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Alpharetta, their win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3.

Blessed Trinity lost to Alpharetta at home by a decisive 28-14 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Blessed Trinity, Ben Guthrie (who threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75.9% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
