Highland lost to Belen back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Highland Hornets blew past the Belen Eagles 58-34. The Hornets pushed the score to 47-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Highland was led to victory by Jerry Moody and Jesus Licon. Moody dropped a double-double with 17 points and 23 rebounds, while Licon went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points and seven boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Licon has scored at least a third of Highland's points.

Highland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Belen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Grants the next time they take the court. Highland will host Grants at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Belen will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
