Basketball Game Preview: Classics vs. Maxwell Vo-Tech Bears

Classics is 7-2 against Maxwell Vo-Tech since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. Classics knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Maxwell Vo-Tech likes a good challenge.

Classics is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering East New York Family Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by East New York Family Academy 98-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (65), Classics still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Maxwell Vo-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spring Creek.

Classics suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Maxwell Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Classics couldn't quite finish off Maxwell Vo-Tech when the teams last played back in January and fell 53-51. Can Classics avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
