Volleyball Recap: Sterling Has No Trouble Against St. Mary's Academy

Sterling won the last time they faced St. Mary's Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers blew past the Wildcats 3-0.

While Sterling won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-14.

Sydney Baseggio was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high.

Sterling now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Mary's Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Sterling will welcome Weld Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will face off against Glenwood Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
