Basketball Recap: Valley Center Comes Up Short

Valley Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Northwest Grizzlies, falling 74-45. The Hornets were probably out for revenge after losing 63-53 to them when the teams met back in January of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Valley Center's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Northwest, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Center will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Derby at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th. As for Northwest, it'll be Northside v. Southside when they and South meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
