Volleyball Recap: Markesan Comes Up Short

Markesan lost against Poynette back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hornets fell 2-0 to the Pumas.

Rylee Hoffmann paced Markesan's offense, picking up eight kills. Hoffmann got some help from Brynn Jackowski and her 19 assists. Jackowski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Markesan's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Poynette, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-18.

Markesan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Royall on the 27th. As for Poynette, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Columbus on the 30th.
