On Saturday, the Edinburg Wildcats were able to grind out a solid win over the Astoria/VIT Rebels, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Edinburg easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17.

Edinburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilly Wake out in front who had a kill, a block, and 15 assists. Wake is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Jara Shoulders was another key player, getting four digs, three kills, and two aces.

She wasn't the only good server: Edinburg was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.
