Baseball Recap: Questa Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Questa took on McCurdy on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Bobcats, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly ten runs.

Questa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Rael, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Rael is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

Questa's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for McCurdy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Questa will head out to square off against Penasco at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for McCurdy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mora at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
