Basketball Recap: Ambassador Christian School Piles Up the Points Against Uwharrie Charter Academy

Ambassador Christian School had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 77-27 win over the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Ambassador Christian School was led to victory by Dylan Deluca and JD Bowden. Deluca made all 6 shots he took to post 14 points along with eight boards and four blocks, while Bowden went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points and six assists. The contest was Bowden's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Tyler Brown was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Ambassador Christian School was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Uwharrie Charter Academy only racked up eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why Uwharrie Charter Academy lost, don't look at Jaxon Mabe. Despite the final result, he posted six points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. Mabe is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Aaron Smith, who scored seven points and nine rebounds.

Ambassador Christian School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points per game. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-4.
