Woodlawn had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Bauxite Miners by a score of 6-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Woodlawn's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bauxite, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Woodlawn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Mayflower on the 22nd. As for Bauxite, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morrilton at 5:00 p.m. on April 1.
